Rapid Kit for Somatic Coliphages
Rapid Kit for Somatic Coliphages
Presence – Absence
Presence/absence kit designed for the specific detection of somatic coliphages in 100 mL of water.
BPF-SPA
Rapid Kit for
Presence/Absence in 100 ml
Bacteriophage: Somatic Coliphages
Description
This Presence/Absence Kit is designed for the specific detection of somatic coliphages in 100 mL of water. It is based on the colour change that occurs in the culture medium due to the lysis of the host strain if the somatic coliphages are present in the water sample.
Number of tests
This kit is designed to perform 50 assays with one 100 mL water sample in each one.
Sample volume: 100 mL
Number of assays: 50 assays
Product code: BPF-SPA
What is contained in the Rapid Kit for Presence/Absence in 100 ml
• 50 vials with Escherichia coli CB10® host strain
• 50 BP Testing bottles with culture media
• 10 vials with Bacteriophage positive control
Equipment not included
• Incubator or water bath thermostatically controlled at (36±2)°C and (30±2)°C.
Applications for the Rapid Kit for Presence/Absence in 100 ml
This method applies to Drinking water, reclaimed water and other samples with expected low counts of somatic coliphages.
