SDG 6 refers to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aims to ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all. Bluephage contributes to this goal by providing innovative solutions for rapidly and effectively detecting coliphages in water (non-pathogenic viruses of intestinal bacteria alert to pathogenic human enteric viruses) which is crucial to ensure the safety and quality of drinking water.

Bluephage’s technology is highly specific and sensitive, detecting coliphage viruses in water in as little as 6.5 hours, helping identify potential health hazards in source water quickly and accurately, enabling early intervention to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases.
